#IamPSL
While driving down Bayshore Blvd. last week, Everett Tuten, an Irrigation & Landscape Inspector with PSL's Public Works Department, noticed some smoke in a median and realized a fire was starting. His quick thinking stopped it from spreading and averted a potentially hazardous situation!
He knew that there was irrigation in the median and immediately called the contractor to turn it on.The fire was quickly extinguished. Thanks to Everett for helping to put the City's strategic goal of being safe, clean and beautiful into action!

I bet a cigarette thrown from a car was the culprit!

Maybe fireworks.

Thank you evertt

talk about perfect timing Nice

Thank you Everett

God bless you Everett...we thank you

My hero!

I like to thank Lee with Masuen Consulting also. Thank you Lee for helping me out.

Good job my friend!

Good job!!!

Maybe if the CITY didn’t put all these stupid over grown plants in the median and mulch there wouldn’t be a problem. All this stuff does is cause visibility issues and cost more money for up keeping and irrigation!

Good job Everett!

Thank you.

Remember back in February when we asked you to take a Citizen Survey about life in PSL? Well, more than 5,000 of you did! And now we have the results.

More than 80 percent of residents who participated in a statistically-valid Citizen Survey rated Port St. Lucie as an excellent or good place to live -- which is up 19 percent from those surveyed almost 10 years ago.

Earlier this year, the City of Port St. Lucie joined hundreds of cities across the country in conducting a survey to measure the quality of life for residents. The 2018 National Citizen Survey™, which was conducted by the National Research Center, Inc., is a snapshot in time showing how Port St. Lucie residents from across geographical areas feel about their city.

A key finding: Residents’ ratings for the quality of life and services provided by the City have improved since 2009. Respondents’ evaluations for the overall quality of life, neighborhoods, the City as a place to retire, raise children and live -- and the overall appearance and image -- have each improved considerably since a baseline survey that was conducted in 2009.

Not happy with this!!

It’s 31 and snowing here in Indiana currently...😂

The longer without that stinkin heat, the better!

The problem with this in Florida is that as soon as you get all bundled up in warm clothes, and get the heater working again (sometimes you haven't even turned it on in 3 years!), then suddenly normal weather returns in the middle of the day, and you are miserable in heavy clothes!

I like it, It will get hot soon anough.

The cold never bothered me anyway...

Better cool than hot!!

No I don't like being cold!!!!

I.am .used to the cold weather. ..from .California..lol....

Just when I put all my winter clothes away, plus the fireplace tools. But that’s ok, everyday that it isn’t in the upper 90’s, I’m happy.

We do need another 24/36 hour winter. We are one short for the year.😂😂😂

Yara se prepare pra sua volta !!😏⛄️ winter is back !! What ?????

These northern cold fronts that come to far south are getting old. Let’s get back to the 80’s!!🌞🌴

Between temperature and wind, is was brutal walking this morning in Summerfield ⛄️☃️

Karla e Leonardo ainda bem que vcs foram pras Keys antes!!🍀⛄️👀

When 'o when can I plant my spring flowers?!?

And I already washed my jacket and put it away:)

Good sleeping weather and the cold keeps the frogs and lizards away!

Yea, but, that's Indiana. We are talking about florida.

Christopher Another reprieve from needing the a/c.

Diffently global warming

Awesome news !!

Is this good ?

Fantastic. Nice to see that Florida's FWC was involved. We don't always see good news about FWC, but this along with the successful rehab & release of a Florida Panther & her cubs recently, is excellent.
