Your 11:30 a.m. Weather Tiger forecast: “For north Florida, the first heavier band of rain will arrive in the early afternoon and last for a few hours, with intermittent heavy rain in bands continuing overnight.”

Weather Tiger
Alberto Sunday morning: As expected, Alberto is getting better organized in the eastern Gulf this morning, with recon aircraft finding maximum sustained winds have increased to near 50 mph. Alberto is located about 140 miles due west of Sarasota and is currently moving north at around 15mph; look for a westward component of the motion to develop over the course of the day today.

For north Florida, the first heavier band of rain will arrive in the early afternoon and last for a few hours, with intermittent heavy rain in bands continuing overnight. The likely landfall point tomorrow afternoon will be in the Panama City vicinity, so expect frequent showers and storms in bands with wind gusts of 35-40mph through the day tomorrow for Tallahassee.

I would be happy to be there even while the storm rolls in!

I have a question. I know it’s impossible for anyone to know exactly how long this storm will last, but I’m not from Fl so I need some Floridians advice. We plan on leaving to come down there on the 3rd, will there be damage or constant rain the whole week we’re there or do these things pass quickly?

I’ve seen a few of those sunsets!! Amazing!!

What a sunset, for heaven's sake! it almost hurts my eyes not being able to see it

Dang!! So pretty!

It looks like the first tropical storm will develop soon! Maybe a preview, a super video of mother nature taking charge yesterday from #lindachiavatti
