Despite days of violent civil unrest, the International Monetary Fund is not backing down from its insistence that Haiti needs to raise prices.

Despite days of civil unrest in Haiti caused by fuel price hikes that were then reversed, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said it expects Haiti to re-impose the increases on gas, kerosene and diesel — but gradually this time.
