FSU kicks founder to curb. Will Yale follow?

FSU decided to remove a statue of its “founder,” Francis Eppes, because he owned slaves in the mid-1800s. If that alone becomes the standard of judgment, there’s a lot of historical whitewashing to be done on America’s campuses, the Sentinel's David Whitley writes.

Florida State's will remove a statue of its slave-owning founder. The precedent would mean Yale should change its name.
