The trail of wreckage began when he approached a woman, stole her purse, knocked her down, and drove off in her 2014 Honda Accord, according to a report.

Phillip Deon Thompson, 34, Pompano Beach, is facing nearly 30 charges following a carjacking, chase, and collisions damaging six vehicles including two patrol cars.
