🚧 Crews working on the SW 12th Avenue repaving project are making great progress…THANKS to everyone for your patience! 🚧
We’ve heard some questions and wanted to confirm that SW 12th Ave. will still be one lane each way with a designated bike path.

How can repaving 12th ave take a week, and 18th street near dixie is going to take 6 months?

When will the designated bike lanes along SW 12th Ave be complete between Palmetto Park Rd to SW 18th St? There are a couple frustrating gaps - Palmetto Pk Rd to Camino Real and SW 14th Dr to SW 18th St.

How can other students - our kids- get invited to these meetings?

Also, what is the number one thing kids want to see done from their perspective to feel safe in the school?

Be back soon....We apologize for the technical difficulties...we've paused the broadcast so the students can breakout into Roundtable Discussions. We'll be back soon with their presentations.

Awesome news !!

Is this good ?

Fantastic. Nice to see that Florida's FWC was involved. We don't always see good news about FWC, but this along with the successful rehab & release of a Florida Panther & her cubs recently, is excellent.

We were so excited to see Daniel pop up in this video! He was a terrific ranger for our first Florida everglades slough in January!

Daniel was very helpful to us at the information desk. He gave us good tips on where to go, told us about a great Wet Walk, and we even swapped stories about being Student Conservation Association alums. He is clearly committed to his job and loves what he does. Thank you!!

Let's round off the week with some gratitude! As the Everglades transitions from the dry season to the wet, the park looks back on those that helped pull us through some tough times following Hurricane Irma. Today we say thank you to our Alternative Winter Breakers from Central Michigan University whom you might have seen featured in one of our previous posts. CMU spent their time this past December helping lend a hand down in Flamingo! Bright smiles and even brighter attitudes!

Stay tuned for more action shots from our volunteer groups over the dry season! Our parks couldn't do without all of you! #volunteerappreciation
